Birding in UP Diliman

UP Diliman is a very big campus. With its land area mostly populated by trees, it is no wonder that out of the 600+ bird species in the Philippines, around 100+ can be found in the campus.

Despite not being an outdoor, adventurous and sporty person, I took birdwatching as a Physical Education subject out of interest. What really interested me was the diversity of birds present in the university and although somewhat tiring, it provided me an escape from the tiring academics and org work.

Taking pictures is my hobby, and it is because of this that I became more interested with this class as I was able to actively and frequently use my camera once again. For my photos, I use a Canon 50 D  with a 70-200mm f/2.8 lens.
